Blogging About Blogging

Posted on

My friend posted to her Facebook page that she wants a bloggy blog of her own aside from her business.  I hope she goes for it; I’ll be a faithful reader.

In case you haven’t noticed, my blog is a bit–eclectic, aptly labeled by another wonderful girl friend. My life is an eclectic journey, and I like it that way.  So my blog is at least partially what it’s meant to be–an account of my journey through this eclectic life.

My issue now is that it’s far from a complete account.  And not that I should share every minute detail of my life. But I’m not really talking about the things that actually make my journey fun and interesting. In fact, I find that most of the time when I post, it’s because something is eating at me.

When I first started writing this, it felt like standing naked in public every time I clicked “Publish Post”.  I’m past that now but I’m not writing the way I want to be writing. At night before I fall asleep, I think about writing. I feel like writing and don’t write; that’s how I know it’s time to push myself a little harder, to put myself out there.

So I hereby publicly vow to be more faithful to my writing, and to share more about the my real journey; the stuff that really matters.
